1. New choral releases

“Around the Throne” by Raymond Haan, $1.75 [AMP-10]

This jubilant song provides vivid imagery of the everlasting Heavenly celebration promised in Scripture, as well as how it is possible – through the sacrifice made by Jesus on the cross.

The work was originally scored for SATB, organ, and handbells (piano could substitute for either). An SATB and piano score is also available. The choral parts are identical between the two versions, including the placement of line and page breaks.

“All the Way to Bethlehem” by Ken Medema, $1.85 [AMP-77]

Incorporating three treasured Christmas carols (Oh Come, All Ye Faithful; Away in a Manger; The First Noel), this anthem for children's choir and congregation paints a vivid picture for people of all ages. The children's choir repeats the call, “All the way to ethlehem. Come and see the infant Holy...” to which the ongregation responds by singing carols.

2. Welcoming Ken Medema

We are pleased to announce the release of the first of four pieces by Ken Medema to be included in the Adoro catalog. Ken has been singing over 32 years in every venue imaginable for 50 - 50,000 people, from churches to conventions to colleges to corporations. Using his gift of improvisation, he hears with his heart, stories from people or themes from events or speeches and sings the stories back to audiences of all ages. It is this ability - to communicate with people young and old - that makes us especially excited to offer some of Ken's music.

For more information on Ken Medema, see his biography page on our web site as well as his own site: www.kenmedema.com.

3. New web site feature

Over the past month, we have released some changes to our web site to present more information on each piece of music, as well as to aid in locating music appropriate for a given situation. Each piece is “tagged” with a variety of information, from the basic (“Music type,” “Hymn tune”) to specific (“Congregational/audience participation,” “Relevant scripture”).

In addition to listing this information on each piece's web page, our catalog can be browsed based on desired criteria. This feature (which is currently in beta) allows our entire catalog to be searched using any combination of tags. It can be accessed by going to the Catalog page and selecting "advanced mode" in the yellow box on the right.

While our catalog is still quite small (27 pieces at the time of writing), it is getting to the point where sifting through all of the listings is a time-consuming process. Therefore, our hope is for this feature to become a useful tool for selecting music.

4. Updated order information - including free shipping

We have also added a new Order Information page to our web site, including new shipping rates. Shipping to the United States is now $3 for orders under $25, $5 for orders between $25 and $75, and FREE for orders over $75. The new page also includes information on offline ordering methods (phone, fax, postal mail), as well as sales tax exemption requirements for Michigan residents.

Thank you for taking the time to peruse this newsletter. We hope you have a blessed Advent, Christmas, and holiday season.
