Adoro Brings More Praise (April 1, 2012)

(Grand Rapids, Mich.) Adoro Music Publishing is excited to announce that we're doubling the praise content of our entire music catalog – with no increases in price.
“The Bible clearly states in Psalm 124:1, 'Praise the Lord! Praise him with a half-step modulation!'” expounded Chris Snyder, founder and president of Adoro. “By using our technological abilities, we're able to bring these half-step modulations to a wider range of worshipers.”
In the past, such modulations have been the exclusive domain of larger music publishers, such as Word Music and Shawnee Press, who have had the resources to implement them. Smaller publishers, however, have not been able to pay the high salaries demanded by the music engravers that have the training needed to use the transpose tools in Finale and Sibelius. Adoro's use of the GNU LilyPond music engraving software, however, allows for easy automation of this task, bringing the wonders of transposition to a wider customer base.
Starting on Sunday, April 1, a new purchasing option will be available for all Adoro pieces. While placing an order, the customer can select the “100% More Praise” option on the shipping cart page. Adoro's system will automatically transpose the music up a half-step and insert it after the original music, modulating using the I → I/flat-7 → flat-VI chord progression that was pioneered by King David.
