Emily Lund Biography
EMILY RUTH LUND was born in Hull, Iowa. She attended Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa, where she majored in elementary education. After teaching elementary school for several years, she married James Lund in 1997. Benefiting from a childhood rich in music, she began composing in 2000, focusing on choral and children's music. She fondly recalls the hours spent listening to the rehearsals of the Kroese Quartet, in which her father sang bass. She credits her parents for their loving dedication to their children's cognitive, emotional, spiritual and musical development. She now lives in Minnesota with her husband and three children. She is a member of Redeemer Reformed Church (RCUS) of Golden Valley, Minnesota and of the Hymn Society of in the United States and Canada.
