A fresh voice. A new standard.
At Adoro Music Publishing, we're introducing a higher standard - in quality, customer service, equity, and stewardship - to the music publishing industry.
A new standard in...
Quality
First and foremost, the music that we publish is of high quality - music that we feel comfortable using ourselves. This extends to the texts as well, where we require theological integrity - not necessarily doctrine in agreement with a specific denomination, but theology that is consistent with a thoughtful reading of Scripture. Our goal is to publish music that stands the test of time, both musically and theologically.
We also believe that the manner in which music is presented and delivered is almost as important as the music itself. To aid performance, we lay out each work to be as clear as possible, carefully working out how to best arrange the music on the page. Even the covers of the music we publish are given careful attention.
Customer service
Music of even the highest quality is virtually useless if obtaining it is an arduous task. Therefore, our commitment to customer service starts before the sale, in the way music is presented on our web site. Every piece of music we sell is available for viewing in its entirety before purchase. Our web site also eases the task of finding music, allowing filtering based on a large set of parameters.
At the time of sale, we strive to make the process as painless as possible. Every purchase automatically includes immediate online access to PDF versions of the purchased music. When selected, we also will mail copies printed on archival-quality paper. Every print order is shipped within one business day - the same business day if ordered before 11:00 AM (ET).
We also offer printing options unique in the industry. Intended to assist busy choral directors and librarians (though available for all types of music), we offer printed "stamps," consisting of organization name and/or score number, free of charge. Further down the road, our commitment to strong customer service remains: no music we publish will ever go out of print (unless due to circumstances beyond our control), and any revisions to existing pieces will be done to make them compatible with previous versions, retaining line/page break locations whenever possible.
Equity
Our publishing process allows us to achieve a lower cost overhead than traditional methods. We share this savings with composers and customers: our royalty rates are among the highest in the industry, while our prices are among the most reasonable.
Stewardship
Regardless of the political debate over the environment, we believe that we are called by God to take care of our planet, a mandate we carry into every area of our business. The use of electronic delivery allows us to cut down on paper use. The paper we do use is, at a minimum, Forest Stewardship Council certified and, where available, made of recycled content. We participate in our electric utility's renewable energy program for our office's energy use, and use recycled products in our office whenever feasible.
